In the lead up to the start of the cricket season there was lots of chat about who'd be playing in what team, who was unavailable, how people's little niggles were....all because of Fantasy Cricket!

Well the interest was flowing amongst all sides as scores trickled through on Saturday and has culminated in the much anticipated publication of the first league table.

Leading the way is former player, and son of the Treasurer; Simon Simcox (454 pts), followed by Club Chairman Jez Lamb (405 pts) and then 1st XI Captain Andy Roberts (403 pts). At the foot of the table, Dave Coles (92 pts) is propping everybody up.

The top players after week 1 are as follows:

Top batsman = Graeme McGowan (37 pts)
Top bowler = Peter Clark (88 pts)
Top all rounder = Ben Cant (85 pts)
Top keep = Andy Roberts (44 pts)
