The Club is saddened to hear of the passing of Gordon Edwards at the weekend. Gordon was a pivotal player and Club member in the 1960s and 1970s captaining the 1st XI to the Mersey Comp title in '67 and '68.

Gordon organised a series of enjoyable Club tours to the Somerset area after moving there and never lost his love for UCC. A fiery fast bowler on the pitch and larger than life character off it.
